I began writing "slowly, slipping, softly" in the late summer/early fall days of the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020.
I needed something hopeful, calm, reassuring, but also triumphant.
- a song to listen to as the sunlight first hits the sky welcoming the morning.
- a song to listen to as you lay on your back on a blanket in a field and watch the clouds pass by.
- a song to listen to as the sun makes its way beyond the horizon opening up the possibilities of the night and the optimism of a new day one sleep away.

And somehow...I feel like it expresses some of the magic of the Northern Lights.
What if the Northern Lights had audio?
What if you could bottle up and capture some of that magic?
